Registration process

How can I register for PD Week 2024?

We recommend that attendees verify whether their employer is organizing a group purchase of conference passes. If that’s the case, please contact the group coordinator who will be able to complete the registration in your name. Both groups and individual buyers may complete the registration online.

Is tax added to the posted registration cost?

Yes, 13 % HST is added in addition to the cost of each registration.

Can I purchase a pass for more than one day?

Attendees can purchase 1, 2, 3, and 4 day passes for this year’s event in the following 3 formats:

  1. In-person only
  2. On-demand only – access sessions starting November 25, 2024
  3. In-person and on-demand bundle – access sessions starting November 25, 2024

Do registrant names need to be provided at the time of registration?

If an attendee is purchasing an individual pass for themselves, they will need to provide their contact details at the time of registration.

If purchasing passes for a group, you don’t need to provide each registrant’s info when you buy the block of passes, they can be input after the completion of the order through your Member Profile. Passes should be assigned as soon as possible after purchase to avoid attendees not receiving the day of their choice. Ensure you are not connected to VPN when assigning passes.

Can login information be shared between individual registrants?

Login access rights are specific to the registered individual. Only the person whose name is registered will be able to access their profile and solely be the one to receive the CPD certificate unless the pass is transferred. See how to transfer a pass section below.

Group registration

How do I qualify for group registration?

To qualify for a group registration, you must register a minimum of 5 participants and a combination of orders tallying 5 or more does not qualify as a group order. The order must be received in bulk of 5 or more to receive the $50 discount.

If you are an individual, we would recommend that you reach out to your department’s training personnel to be part of their group order. There are known Group Coordinators established in the larger departments, however, anyone can be a group coordinator.

To get on our Group Coordinator list, please contact our team at registrar@fmi.ca and we will be happy to add you to our ongoing list to receive information pertaining to your group.

What is the group registration process?

For Group Orders, you can register your group online directly and it will apply the $50 per pass discount.

You do not need the names of your attendees to make the purchase of your passes, however, should you have them, you can assign the passes before checking out of your registration. If you do not have the names, we recommend you assign them as you receive them or immediately after your purchase to avoid any of your attendees not being able to choose their preferred day selection. Your access to the Member Profile Portal will be provided in the confirmation email sent from our registration system. You will be able to assign your passes once the order is placed.

OR

You can complete a group order form and send it to registrar@fmi.ca for our team to process the order. We do not assign the passes for you. We will send you another confirmation email from registrar@fmi.ca with details on how to assign your passes.

How do attendees receive their passes?

Passes must be assigned by the Group Coordinator/purchaser. Once a registration order has been completed a confirmation email is sent to the Group coordinator/purchaser with their login link to access their Member Profile. From there registrant names can be added/updated.

To get into the Member Profile, select login as “first time” to be able to update your password to continue. Click on the REGISTRATION tab once in there and select the event PD WEEK ##, then Click on Expand, and it will display all your passes – it does take time to load. Please bookmark this link for future use and ensure you are not connected to VPN when assigning or transferring passes.

Once the pass is assigned, each of your attendees will receive their own confirmation email and be able to login to their own profile through the same link to change their day selection should it be required. Please note that in-person event badges are provided to attendees at time of event check-in.

Payments

You can easily pay your invoice in the following ways

NOTE: Registration is not complete until payment is received. In-person and on-demand access will be declined until payment is made. Payment must be received 10 days (by November 9, 2024) prior to the start of the event for us to be able to provide access to your attendees.

  1. By EFT/Direct Deposit – Once your payment is processed, we ask to please send us a REMITTANCE as Proof of Payment, including reference to this invoice # to payments@fmi.ca. Note: Failure to send the remittance will result in delays in “closing out the invoice” in the system. All government direct deposits display as “Federal Government” without any other detail. Your remittance email is key!
  2. By credit card – Should your credit limit be less than your anticipated order, you will need to either split the order into your allowable limit (with tax) or make payment by EFT/Direct Deposit. NOTE: Each order must be a minimum of 5 passes to receive the group discount.

Verifying your registration

How do I login to my Registration Profile?

Click on this link and select login as “first time”, to be able to update your password to continue. Please bookmark this link for future use and ensure you are not connected to VPN when assigning passes.

Why does my password not work?

Please make sure you are disconnected from VPN, using the preferred browser – Chrome, and the email address used for your registration is accurate. Select “first time”, to be able to update your password to continue.

Why did I not receive the password reset email?

To receive the reset email, you must use the email used for your registration. Please also check your spam/junk folder or verify with your department of any restrictions.

Why is my registration or profile not loading?

When higher than normal registration volumes occur, the system will take some time to load your registration(s). Your patience is appreciated.

Why are days greyed out in my profile?

When we reach max capacity in the venue, we are required to close registration for in-person only and in-person with on-demand passes, which results in those pass options appearing greyed out in the Member Area. If you have already selected a day that has now reached capacity it will appear greyed out. Please note that it is still included in your registration, just appearing greyed out.

What day am I registered for?

Please refer to your last confirmation email as that will detail your final registration information or you can login into your profile through this link: https://crm.fmi.ca/login with the email used for your registration.

Can passes be shared?

Passes are not shareable. They are unique to one email address to receive CPD credits. However, passes can be transferred to another person and all CPD Credits will be transferred also. The transfer deadline is on or before October 30, 2024, subject to day selection and/or pass type availability.

Can I exchange or split a multiple day pass with others on my team?

All of our multiple day passes are sold as one (1) single pass and cannot be split, exchanged or transferred individually as the pass is unique to one email address. Including the In-person with On-demand pass – it is one pass and cannot be split.

Why are there other events in my profile?

All FMI events will appear in your profile to provide an opportunity to register for other events FMI hosts.

Can I cancel my pass for a refund?

The deadline for full refund cancellations is September 30, 2024. After this date, you can change your pass type (deadline October 30th) or transfer the pass to another person or upgrade to on-demand (after October 30th).

Can I add another day pass to my existing registration?

In order to do that you will need to purchase another pass. Once an order/invoice is generated it cannot be amended to add or remove passes. This will mean you will have two separate registrations for each pass/order processed.

Changes / transfers / exchanges

Can I make a change to my day selection?

Yes, by logging into your profile. NOTE: Day selections can be changed on, or before the deadline of October 30, 2024, and are subject to availability.

Can I change my pass type?

The deadline to make a pass change is on or before October 30, 2024 and is subject to availability. After October 30th, 2024, passes can only be upgraded to on-demand (for a nominal fee) or transferred to another person (refer to the upgrade pricing grid on our registration page).

What if I fall ill the day I am expected to attend?

You can upgrade your pass to on-demand or transfer your pass to another person.

How to transfer my pass?

You will need to send us the name/email of both recipients so we may update the pass profile in our system. They will receive a confirmation email.

What do I need if I am replacing another person’s pass?

If the pass was not already transferred to you, you will be required to provide written consent from the owner approving the transfer of their pass.

How do I exchange my In-Person Pass to On-Demand?

The process is to refund the old pass and purchase a new pass (for payment) as our system does not allow for changes on a processed invoice. All exchanges will be feasible on or before October 30th, 2024. Refunds to be processed after October 30th, 2024.

Can I exchange my On-demand pass for an In-person Pass?

Our exchanges do not allow for this type of change. You can only exchange/upgrade from In-person to On-Demand.

Do you hold a waiting list for any passes or day selections?

Why am I not able to play the video?

In order to play the video, you must have access to the day of that session, and you must be disconnected from VPN. If you continue to not be able to view the video, it is likely a firewall restriction on your system. You will need to reach out to your IT Department or try accessing it from a personal computer.

Why am I not able to view the session(s) I click on?

There may be a few reasons why you are unable. Please be sure you have logged in with the email used for your registration and the on-demand access corresponds to the day(s) you registered for. It could also be a firewall issue within the browser setting should you be using a work device. Try it on a personal device or contact your IT Department for assistance.
