Some are calling it public sector reform. Others speak of government transformations. However you characterize it; it is clear that all levels of the public sector are grappling with dramatic change.
Globalization, artificial intelligence – embodied in part by ChatGPT, a rapidly changing workforce, increasing decentralization, diversity & inclusion, technological innovation, ethics & tech, sluggish economic growth, burnout and stress. These are just a few of the powerful forces driving transformational organizational and personal change.
PD Week 2023 is about creating a framework for and understanding these powerful, transformative forces and enabling financial management professionals to make the best decisions at all stages of their career.
From the latest in neuroscience-based strategies for achieving resilience and creativity, to CPD earning opportunities, and unique speed mentoring sessions – only available from PD Week, this year’s event is guaranteed to inform, challenge, entertain, and engage.
Plan to join us for four days of transformational learning from November 21 – 24, 2023. This is without a doubt a unique opportunity to connect with, network, and learn from visionary presenters and other financial management professionals from across Canada.
REGISTER NOWSpeakers and sessions are once again organized around four compelling themes that are shaping the public sector across Canada and around the globe. These themes have been identified through extensive input from a wide network of volunteers including CFOs, CAEs, senior leaders, various thought leaders – and this year’s honorary chair, Arun Thangaraj, Deputy Minister of Transport.
The overriding goal is to bring you practical information that is immediately useful, and insights on powerful trends that are transforming how we think, how we work, and how we bring productivity to the highest levels possible.
Choose practical and inspiring sessions in these four areas:
Economic/fiscal update, AI trends & risks, data management strategies, hybrid work, approaches and best practices in DEI, cybercrime, cons, frauds & scams.
Parliamentary appearances, economic update, financial fraud, ethics – a panel on best practices, IA & risk management, evolving trends in costing.
The implications of ChatGPT, e-Government/e-Services, robotic accounting, cloud computing, storytelling with data, financial upskilling, and much more.
Workplace evolution, labor shortage, inclusion & leadership, ethical behavior & mobilizing people, best practice communication skills, personal finance
This exclusive half-day session is available to all executives of the public service, CFOs, DCFOs, and CAEs ( including those in executive-equivalent positions.), looking to find new and innovative ways of enhancing their leadership skills.
