John Kealey

Director of Costing, Department of National Defence

John Kealey is a Senior Director at the Department of National Defence, where he is responsible for overseeing the development of life cycle cost estimates for all major defence procurement projects.

Prior to this role, John was a senior analyst at the Treasury Board Secretariat, where he provided advice and recommendations to Treasury Board Ministers related to the financial management and spending of his client departments.

John also worked at Employment Social Development Canada in the area of program policy, including time in the Deputy Minister’s Office working on Strategic Review and the Deficit Reduction Action Plan.

John graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours degree in Mathematics and Statistics. He also graduated from Carleton University with a Master of Arts in Public Administration.
