Dr. Gloria Castaneda-Pizana

Behavioural Scientist, Research and Experimentation, Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer

Gloria joined the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer, Research and Experimentation team in January 2023, where she works as a Behavioral Scientist applying an interdisciplinary approach of neuroscience, organizational psychology, and behavioral economics to address people management challenges in the federal public service, particularly in the domains of diversity and inclusion, future of work, and health and wellness.

Prior to her current role, Gloria worked as a Technology Transfer Manager at McGill University’s Research and Innovation office. During her time there, she facilitated the transfer of cutting-edge research findings into practical applications. She completed a master’s and a Doctorate degree in Neuroscience at McGill University in 2022. Throughout her academic journey, Gloria led several longitudinal research experiments focused on mental health and decision-making using insights from behavioral economics.

Gloria has also actively contributed to various non-profit organizations. She has volunteered for initiatives such as BrainReach, ISpeakScience and the Canadian Science Policy Center.
