Panel: Making Sense of Uncertainty: A Discussion on Risk Management

Claudine provides executive leadership for the development and implementation of the national consultancy, advisory services, and program direction of the Canada Revenue Agency’s (CRA) Enterprise Risk Management regime, in support to the Assistant Commissioner and Chief Audit Executive. She leads the strategic direction for the CRA’s internal audit, assurance, and program evaluation programs, integrating high standards nationally, quality service, and efficient operations. She is also responsible for external liaison services and provide advice and expertise on the administration of the Public Servants Disclosures Protection Act (PSDPA).

Previously, Claudine led the policy leadership role across the Government of Canada finance community, accountable for oversight, monitoring and reporting of financial management policy. She played the challenge role aimed at ensuring compliance, governance, and the management and mitigation of risks across a large spectrum of financial areas.

She was instrumental in the early development of a data strategy for the Government of Canada finance community, and also spearheaded a pilot project to implement a financial management data analytics tool to measure the financial health of departments and agencies and ensure policy compliance and adequacy.

Claudine holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in Accounting from the University of Ottawa. She is a Chartered Professional Account (CPA, CA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and holds a Certificate in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
