This presentation will focus on the latest economic and financial forecasts from Desjardins Group's Economic Studies. In particular, the speaker will discuss the uneven impact of high interest rates on different economies around the world, the delayed impact of interest rate increases in Canada, particularly on the housing market, the contradictory forces influencing the Canadian economy, the outlook for the labour market in a context of labour shortages, as well as projections for inflation and interest rates. He is the author of several research papers, contributes to publications produced by Desjardins Economic Studies and is frequently quoted in the media. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the Université de Montréal.
