Innovation & Experimentation
Natalie Frank is Senior Advisor on Experimentation at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS). She has been in the federal public service since 1999, having managed large federal programs (for example Youth Exchanges, and Adult Literacy), and coordinated major policy initiatives (for example, in support of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games and recent investments in Social Infrastructure). Most recently, she served as the first Manager of the Innovation Lab at Employment and Social Development Canada, since 2016. Natalie is passionate about finding new pathways of solutions to sticky problems. She describes her past two years with the Innovation Lab, leading the design team, as “an amazing opportunity, after nearly 20 years, to re-learn government all over again”; and she is very excited to bring her lessons from the lab to help advance the government’s experimentation agenda in her new role at TBS.
