In 2015, Hélène Joncas brought more than 20 years of experience in innovation-driven organizations to Intel, where she works with organizations to guide them on their digital transformation journey.
Prior to joining Intel, Hélène assisted the Government of Canada in the implementation of a $100-million investment into Canadian business incubators and accelerators. She was Vice-President of Business Development at Wavefront, Canada’s national centre of excellence for wireless technologies.
And prior to that, she was Chief Strategy Officer with CANARIE, the organization responsible for the high-speed research and education network in Canada. There she developed and launched a cloud computing initiative aimed at accelerating innovation and commercialization among small- and medium-sized tech companies.
While at Nortel, Hélène was responsible for the Nortel-Microsoft relationship and the development of Unified Communications solutions for the Carrier market. She also founded several startups, including imGenie and SIPquest (now CounterPath).
Hélène has co-authored several papers on the implementation of successful strategic alliances between R&D intensive firms as well as between large and small technology companies.
She holds an Honours BA in psychology and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Ottawa. She currently sits on board of Startup Canada and is on the advisory board of the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.
