Youthquake: What Generational Change Means for How you Lead
David Coletto is CEO and a founding partner of Abacus Data (www.abacusdata.ca), a full-service market research and strategy firm based in Ottawa. With more than a decade of experience in the industry, David and his partners founded Abacus eight years ago, and since then it has grown into one of Canada’s most respected market research firms. His clients include Shaw Communications, Loblaw, the RCMP, the Air Canada Pilots Association, the Canadian Bankers Association, the Canadian Pharmacists Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
David is the lead researcher for Abacus Data’s Canadian Millennials Practice (www.canadianmillennials.ca) and has advised organizations and corporations on how to engage and manage generational change. Abacus runs the largest syndicated survey of Canadian millennials, interviewing 4,000 annually as part of an ongoing tracking study. He speaks to groups all over North America and Europe on how his generation is disrupting work, politics, and the consumer market and is a regular panelist on CTV News Channel’s generational Mind the Gap panel.
Earning a doctorate from the University of Calgary in 2010, David is an Adjunct Professor at the Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs at Carleton University, where he teaches courses on public affairs strategies, polling and political marketing.
David is also on the Board of Directors at the Shaw Centre and in 2013, he was named one of Ottawa’s forty under 40.
